SUNDAY READING: IS HARLEM ‘GOOD’ NOW? BY MARCUS SAMUELSSON

I ran across this NY Times Editorial last Sunday. It’s a timely piece, since  the main stream seems to be really worked up about Spike Lee’s gentrification comments. When I think of gentrification in reference to RVA, I think of Church Hill. I think of the good and the bad – and I think of how we can manage a better Greater Richmond. I’ve had the honor of eating at the Red Rooster in Harlem. Marcus Samuelsson’s words make me want to go back to Harlem and really learn about the culture. It also makes me search for the center of cultural relevance in RVA. This is a great op-ed. Let me know what you think…#WESEEIT
