DRAGON BOATS BACK ON THE JAMES [ROCKETTS LANDING, RVA]
I love the annual Richmond International Dragon Festival! This was the second year that I was able to take some photos of the event. The dragon boat festival is a photographer’s dream, it has it all: tailgating, performances, diverse culture, and of course dragon boats. Last weekend was amazing for festivals and event. Unfortunately, I was not able to make a lot of them but I was not going to miss this one.

Saturday Morning Popular Post: Live from the Nickel Bridge (RVA)
You know you’re RVA if you still refer to the “nickel” bridge. I can’t remember it being a nickel but don’t tell that to Grandma Cheatham. After the crazyness of last night’s First Fridays I thought it would be cool to start this Saturday with some peace and clarity. First Fridays was great last night. Reviewing the Cheats Movment site stats, it is very clear that Saturday is not a popular day for internet surfing. So I've decided to make Saturday my Popular Post day. I will re-post my most "liked" and "viewed" photos every Saturday. The Great Shiplock Park Post was one of the most viewed photos of last month. It is a very fun shot taking in the River District.
