I know Mondays are tough – but it’s back to the grind! If you’re waiting on RVA you’re already late. Have a great Monday — lets get it in!
I’ve been on the grind pretty hard the last few weeks: building the blog, working my 9 to 5 (which is more like 7 AM to whenever), meeting a lot of new – talented people, and learning more about photography and video editing. I don’t sleep much – no time. And the grind has been paying off – the blog is growing every day and the feedback has been wonderful. BUT this week my Grandmother has not been feeling so hot – thankfully she is getting the medical care she needs and she has a loving family around her BUT it’s been a huge reminder for me so I will pass it on: Take some time away from the grind and spend it with the people that you care about and that care about you. Let them know that you appreciate them and you are better because of their support. Stay Focused! [Sorry RVA, this picture was taken in Scottsville, VA]
Richmond is filled with amazing views. I took this photo at the flood wall overlook; right as you cross over into Manchester. Just another day in RVA. Enjoy!

Have a great weekend! Be Safe – Stay Focused!

Despite the heat this summer, RVA has had some wonderful sunsets. I took this photo at Belle Isle a few weeks ago. Check out all my pictures from Belle Isle by clicking here.
Yesterday I headed out to Brown and Belle Island to take some photos of the river. What I discovered was a very fun – super active day on the James. It was a great scene and I really enjoyed being out in the fun. Click here to see my new picture series, The Cheats Movement Invades Belle Island (and Brown too). Summers in RVA are amazing! Enjoy the photos and hit the Cheats Movement on Facebook by clicking here.
I got some really fun photos at Belle Island yesterday. What a fun place to be in the summer. It kind of upsets me that I've lived in RVA all me life and never went out on the rocks until yesterday. I will be back for sure.
I spent Saturday in Scottsville and Crozet, Virginia doing 4th of July work. This is a photo from Hermatige Farm in Scottsville, VA. No matter what you go through, in time, the sun will always break through the trees.
I love the random nature of Central Park. I took this shot last year just walking through. I was a pretty cold and nasty day - yet filled with bubbles.
Great Shiplock Park has some great views and great fishing. It's a River City Star!
Vegas Baby - VEGAS! The strip is unlike any place I have ever been. Just don't leave the strip - the rest of Vegas is a bit seedy (lol).
One of my favorite shots. Shot at Jousha Tree last year.
I must admit, I don't go hiking much but Crabtree Falls is extremely beautiful and pleasant. I highly recommend it.
Martha's Vineyard is busy in the summer - very busy. But there are silent moments and views like this...where time stands still.
The Teton Mountain Range is stunning. I took this right as the sun was going down behind the range.
This picture really does explain itself. The South of France is amazing and on a day like this - it speaks to you.
This is the best view in Seattle. As you can see, it was a cloudy day but the shot came out cool given the camera.
You really can't go wrong with sunrise or sunset -- MIA in December -- I miss you.
Need I say more? The South of France is amazing; one of the best trips of my life. This was the view from my window.
