RVA ALL DAY! NO BS! BRASS BAND RELEASED THEIR NEW ALBUM LAST NIGHT

20130518-IMG_3705It was a capacity crowd at Balliceaux last night for the Richmond release of RVA ALL DAY.  The fourth album from RVA’s No BS! Brass Band. They are hitting the stage again tonight at The Camel. Make sure you get a copy! #WESEEIT

NO BS BRASS BAND IS RICHMOND FAMOUS!

Clearly one of the best RCC shows that I have ever seen. Last Saturday, Richmond’s own NO BS Brass took the Richmond Comedy Coalition’s Richmond Famous stage at Gallery 5. But this was not your average show – NO BS played some of their amazing tunes to inspire  some of the most hilarious improv that I have seen in a long time. The night even ended with an imprompu dance party sparked by NO BS covering Michael Jackson’s Thriller. I have video but I’m not sure how it came out just yet – too busy dancing. For now, check out these photos of the show. And check out NO BS this Friday night at the Camel.

Patrick and Katie with a great sport from NO BS.

SHORT VIDEO FUN: WHITE LACES, THE TRILLIONS, NO BS! BRASS & BLACK GIRLS

I needed to test some new editing plug-ins over the weekend and this is the end result. This was filmed at the Black Girls vinyl release show at Kingdom featuring: White Laces, The Trillions, NO BS! Brass, and of course, Black Girls. S/O to Bucky and the team at Worthless Junk for the hook up. Like the Cheats Movement on Facebook (Click Here)

A SPECIAL B & W LEAK FROM THE WORTHLESS JUNK SHOW AT KINGDOM

Here are a few photos from the Black Girls release party at Kingdom Friday night. The show featured: White Laces, The Trillions, NO BS! Brass Band, and Black Girls. It was my first time seeing Black Girls live and they did not disappoint. It was also my first time seeing The Trillions live and I really enjoyed them too. No way around it – NO BS! KILLED IT. They are flat out amazing and really left their mark on the night. And the fact that White Laces (sorry guys my lighting was a bit off for your set – I will make it up)  lead off the night made this show one of my early favorites of 2012. All of these bands are worth seeing live. I’m working on a 30 – 60 sec short video of the night so I don’t have many photos. Keep checking back, SHARE THIS POST, and Like The Cheats Movement on Facebook for more updates.
