JIM UKROP ON RVA’S COMMUNITY (2013)

To me, ‘community’ has different meanings. It could be a community of people with like interests, such as chess players, inventors, academics, etc. It could be a community with diverse interests, thus sparking creativity. However, for me, an ideal community is one where everyone, regardless of their socio-economic status, cares about one another and looks out for one another – a feeling that, ‘if the community does well, I will do well.’ – Jim Ukrop
