It was an emotional event Friday night – I really don’t have the words but I will say that the Klubhouse Krew Show in memory of their friend and brother Kleph Dollaz represented the best in RVA’s hip hop scene. Jay-Z said it best, “You could have been anywhere in the world, but you’re here with me,” there was a lot going on in RVA Friday night including ASAP Rocky at the National but a very special crowd came out to the Canal Club to celebrate and remember Kleph Dollaz. And I am certain that no one in the build though that they had made the wrong decision.
The night was hosted by DJ Lonnie B and Shawn Chappelle with performances by a ton of RVA artist all with deep ties to Kleph Dollaz. Naming everyone would be too much for this post but a quick S/O to Mimi Velez and Tamir Rock for putting in the work to organize the event and ultimately granting me access to be a part of the night.
Mimi Velez played a major role in organizing the event and performed.
Chane Fischer gave a very emotional performance. I first heard of Chance on his, “Passport to Nowhere” mixtape produced by Kleph.
Noah-O working through the pain of losing a true brother of his Kleph Dollaz.
A very special night part of the night was a pray given by Kelph’s brother. He wore this shirt.
