“HEATHER IS WATCHING” [RECONCILIATION STATUE, RICHMOND, VA]
In August 2017, a few days following the horrific actions by white supremacist in Charlottesville, VA that led to 35 people being injured and the death of Heather Heyer, community leaders gathered in Richmond for a vigil. While Mayor Levar Stoney spoke to a very solemn audience, I was struck by the man holding a portrait of Heather.
