THE FRESHMAKER DJ MENTOS OFFERS NEW INSTRUMENTAL ALBUM “FRESH AIR”

Richmond producer DJ Mentos has released a new instrumental album. “Fresh Air is my offering to the world,” said the Analog Suspects beat maker.

“I hope rappers hear this album and want to rap to it. I hope beatmakers hear it and nod along,” added Mentos, who is known for his golden era hip-hop sound and his love for soul, jazz, funk, and flute-inspired beats.

Mentos hopes this project will lead people to discover more instrumental music. “I’ve been really inspired by other beatmakers and producers who consistently release instrumental projects. I really admire The Alchemist, Daringer and Big Ghost as well as ‘lo-fi’ producers like Ohbliv and Tuamie. I would love to build a following similar to the ones they have; supporters who really connect with their music.”

Mentos created the entire album from samples manipulated in Abelton 9. He told The Cheats Movement that he drew inspiration from everything around him: family, friends, artists, and nature. #WESEEIT
