ANGELICA GARCIA SIGNS TO RICHMOND’S SPACEBOMB RECORDS, RELEASES NEW VIDEO “IT DON’T HINDER ME”

There is very exciting news coming out of Richmond’s Spacebomb Records. Earlier this week, Spacebomb announced the signing of Latinx artist Angelica Garcia. Along with the announcement, Angelica released a new song and video “It Don’t Hinder Me.”

The 2018 Style Weekly Top 40 Under 40 awardee, is starting to make waves with her powerful voice and unique style. Angelica’s new video “It Don’t Hinder Me,” was directed by Spencer Ford and filmed near Garcia’s family’s home in El Monte, California. The stunning visual features family photos and scenes filmed at Angelica’s local favorites: Tyler Market & Tacos El Arco.”

Angelica says “It Don’t Hinder Me” is a song about being proud of where she comes from. Honoring her Mexican and Salvadorian heritage, she is quoted saying, “I went to a magnet school that united different sectors of Los Angeles county, everything from Pasadena to West LA to El Monte & more inland. The school mixed kids from different backgrounds. Back then I often saw myself as not being cool like the kids of screenwriters and stars. This song rebukes the idea that you have to come from glamour or money to be cool. My ‘beautiful’ & ‘cool’ version of LA is the immigrant household of my grandparents.”
