LEVAR STONEY OPENS UP: THE RICHMOND MAYOR TALKS ABOUT HIS PROFESSIONAL AND PERSONAL CHALLENGES OF 2020

In a wide-ranging, end-of-the-year interview, Richmond Mayor Levar Stoney opened up about the challenges he faced in 2020.

Going one-on-one with me (Cheats), Mayor Stoney talked about the lessons he learned from his 2020 reelection campaign, how COVID-19 shut down the capital city, and how the fight for racial justice affected him personally.

In looking to the future, Stoney and I talked about his desire to help the small businesses, his support for legalizing marijuana, the proposed casino, the need for more housing, and a new Squirrels stadium.

Closing the interview, we talk about his unprovoked slander of the Knicks and his inexplicable love for the Jets. This interview has a little of everything.

It goes without saying how difficult this year has been. As always, I am grateful for the Mayor’s time and the time you take to support the Cheats Movement. Please stay safe and have a happy holiday. #WESEEIT
