These photos were taken the one day after Richmond Police tear-gassed a peaceful protest (before curfew) and just a few hours after Mayor Stoney’s noon press conference apologizing for the RPD’s actions. Mayor Stoney marched with protesters, Lieutenant Governor Justin Fairfax marched with protesters, several members of the Virginia General Assembly were on hand including a possible candidate for Governor Jennifer McClellan and Chairman of the Black Caucus Lamont Bagby.
