PHOTO ESSAY: “STRIKE UP THE BAND” BY WENDY GOODMAN @WENDYG3ME

Thanks to these fantastic photos by Wendy Goodman, I now have a new favorite marching band in Richmond. The VA All-Star Band consists of members from VSU, NSU, Hampton U, Highland Springs High, Thomas Jefferson High, and Huguenot High. The Band started to provide youth with something positive despite all the negativity they are facing in the world, according to a band spokesperson.

“Crank For A Cause” (July 11th at Marcus-David Peters Circle) was an event to make noise for those who have lost their lives, and to encourage people to donate to something positive and to have fun. Please follow the sounds of the VA All-Star Band via IG at @VA_allstarband.
