RADIO B TO GIVE KEYNOTE ADDRESS AT VUU’S 3RD ANNUAL RESEARCH & CREATIVE INQUIRY EXPO

The merger of hip-hop and higher education has been moved to a new level at Virginia Union University (VUU), thanks in-part to a new fellowship dedicated to exploring the role of hip-hop on campus. Ricky Parker is the first VUU Center for Undergraduate Research Fellow and he has already started to make an impact on campus. Last month, he brought hip-hop artist, turn Christain evangelist, No Malice, to campus for a lecture and open-forum. This week, the university has tapped Richmond MC and entrepreneur Radio B to keynote the 3rd Annual Research & Creative Inquiry Expo at the VUU Center.

Radio B is a popular hip-hop artist from Richmond’s southside. He recently released a new album titled Jesus Never Wore A Suit.  He is the founder of the RVA Lyricist Lounge and co-founder of emerging battle rap league, the Southpaw Battle Coalition.

The event is Thursday, April 12th, on the campus of VUU at the Claude G. Perkins Living and Learning Center. The keynote address is listed at 9 AM.
