RICHMOND BLACK RESTAURANT EXPERIENCE KICKS OFF TODAY IN ABNER CLAY PARK

The Richmond Black Resturant Experience (formerly Richmond Black Resturant Week) kicks off today (Sunday, March 4) with a special Mobile Soul Sunday Event in Abner Clay Park. The full Black Resturant Experience concludes on March 11th.

*The Richmond Black Restaurant Experience is a celebratory week dedicated to supporting Richmond’s black-owned restaurants and promoting the Richmond regions growing culinary tourism scene. It aims to counter economic disparity within Minority Owned businesses with fun and interactive solutions that engage, excite and ignite a deeper understanding and love of Richmond food culture.

*Last year, over 26,000 people experienced Richmond Black Restaurant Week, bringing in over $475,000 in total sales and creating 17 new jobs.

For this year, the Richmond Black Resturant Experience has expanded its scope in every way. There are more restaurants – see below for the full VBRE checklist – more events (click here for a link to all of the events), bigger sponsors and more ways to be involved.

*Richmond Black Restaurant Experience is once again partnering with Renew Richmond as its local, non-profit beneficiary to raise awareness and highlight this impactful organization that serves underprivileged communities by building solutions around Urban Agriculture and Community Gardening.

The Experience ends a week from today with the Stick a Fork in It! Culmination event at Main Street Station. Make sure you check out the Richmond Black Resturant Experience all week.
