RICHMOND MC FLY ANAKIN GETS HIGH PRAISE FROM LIVING LEGEND MADLIB ON TWITTER

RICHMOND, VA – Richmond MC Fly Anakin of the Mutant Academy received high praise on twitter yesterday from the Madvillain himself, prolific producer Madlib.

Anakin is has been making waves for a few years now as a member of the popular Richmond collective Mutant Academy. He has assembled a mass amount of quality work since dropping Elsewhere Ave in 2015 and has since released an array of quality music and feature verses. Anakin has toured the country a little and been featured on popular sites like Mass Appeal and Pitchfork.

Madlib is truly a living legend in hip-hop. As a producer, there is no question that he is a first-ballot Hall of Famer. His worked with MF DOOM, Jay Dilla, and most recently Freddie Gibbs has all received critical acclaim. The Stones Throw Record staple is not just known for hip-hop but also his jazz, soul, and funk production as well.

I’m not sure if this will lead to future collaborations between Madlib and Fly Anakin but I hope it does. I know that Fly Anakin doesn’t need any extra motivation (he’s one of the hardest workers I know) but I’m glad his work is paying off in this manner. #WESEEIT
