RO$$ETTI “BLACK SILKY” [VIDEO]

Petersburg’s own Ro$$eTTi has been turning heads with his most recent track, “Black Silky,” off the EP Playground Legend, Vol 1. I asked the former college hooper turned rising MC about the project, and he gave me a little insight. “I played college basketball, and hooping has always been a big part of my life, so I wanted to make a project with that theme,” Ro$$eTTi wrote via IG. He went on to say, “I chose the title Playground Legend specifically because I’m still an underground artist. I feel the only thing that separates underground artists from the mainstream is notoriety.”

Ro$$eTTi recognition is definitely on the rise. He has turned in some memorable Rap Elite performances, and he told me “Black Silky” has been his most successful song to date. He’s also received love from Hot 97s’ Peter Rosenberg, who played two of his tracks on Real Late. “I plan on building off this project and approaching everything with the same sense of purpose,” Ro$$eTTi finished.
