SNAPSHOT: TYREE EVANS / ASSIST FOUNDATION ‘BACK 2 SCHOOL BASKETBALL CAMP’

Last week, I stopped by the Celebration Outreach Center to check out the last day of the “Back 2 School Basketball Camp” presented by Tyree Evans and the A.S.S.I.S.T. Foundation. If you’re not familiar, the camp was held from August 26-30 from 9 AM to 5 PM. It hosted boys from all over the Richmond region. The campers got meals, school supplies, plenty of on-court skills training, and education guidance.

I arrived in time to hear Coach William Carter (founder of A.S.S.I.S.T) give the campers some important life lessons about setting goals and consistently playing basketball at a high level. Evans handed out school supplies and oversaw the three-point shooting competition.

Please take a moment to visit the ASSIST Foundation website. General admission for the camp was only $100 and it was $50 for all parks and rec youth. #WESEEIT
