Y’ALL SLEEP: CHECK OUT MELODIC’S VISUAL FOR “PIE”

The transition from prolific DJ to respected MC is harder than most people think. Once people embrace an artist one way, making any type of shift is difficult for most to accept (ask Kanye and Hit-Boy). Richmond has had its share of DJs turned MCs or more notably MCs turn to DJs (Lonnie B and Mad Skillz are two that come to my mind).

Melodic has made a name for himself as one of Richmond’s hardest working DJs, but with the release of his debut album Monday last December, he is making the shift to center stage.

Melodic released a visual for the track “PIE” last September. With all that was happening at the time, I didn’t get around to posting it. So it’s probably more appropriate to title this series “I Was Sleep” as opposed to “Y’all Sleep” but that’s neither here nor there. The video is dope, directed by TheKingImage.
