BEYOND CONTAINMENT DIALOGUE SERIES STARTS FRIDAY AT VUU

The Beyond Containment Dialogue Series’ first session, “The Collision at the Intersection of Criminal Justice and Poverty,” will be held this Friday, September 27, 2019, 2p – 5p at Virginia Union University’s Claude G. Perkins Living and Learning Center.

Beyond Containment is a project out of the Commonwealth Attorney’s office that explores the root causes of criminal activity. In an attempt to further this discussion, they are pulling together policymakers, elected officials, community members, basically, anyone who wants to participate to be apart of the dialogue. If the report is step one, the dialogue series begins the next phase that I hope will end with real action items that improve our city.
