FLY ANAKIN OPENS ’21 WITH ‘ANAKIN & FRIENDS: EPISODE 1’

What a way to kick things off for 2021, we’re still in the crib (except Atlanta) but we get new Fly Anakin music in the form of Anakin & Friends Episode 1.  

Anakin comes through with a 5-piece combo like Tekken 3 on the PS2, following the success of the collaboration with Pink Siifu (one of my 2020 favorite FlySiifu’s), this time he brought his friends along.

Kicking off the album is “AllRight” featuring Skateboarder/Rapper/Producer Navy Blue out of LA. The super dope “Me, Ankh & $ilk” the name is self-explanatory for all features, all 3 go stupid over fellow Mutant Academy member Sycho Sid’s dark production. “Us>Them” is Anakin going solo….absolute banger. I believe this is my first time hearing Cazal Organism’s work but if he’s making joints like this we should keep an eye out.  

Speaking of up and coming producers, Jay Versace had a great 2020, and he’s one of the friends involved in the project, lacing the BigFly joint “Custie Bop” as Anakin & Big Kahuna OG rep for Scheme Team and trade verses over a mean soul loop.

Wrapping the project up is the swarvy produced “That One Time @ Hot97” another solo joint where Anakin just gives you a full clip of bars and reminds us once again it’s gonna be another banner year for him and the squad.
