#WESEEIT DAILY: JUNE 29, 2018 – DRAKE DAY, FAB FIVE BEEF & ROUGHRIDERS CHAMPIONSHIP

Today is Drake day! The new double album Scorpion is out and Drake addresses some of the rumors. The one people are hung up on is that Drake confirmed his child. Vulture has a good article on the news he breaks on the album. I haven’t had time to listen to the album yet but I’m sure I will get to it this weekend. I like Drake for the hits, I don’t emotionally connect to his music but his hits are undeniable.

Moving On: It’s no secret that there is bad blood between Fab Five members, and former best friends, Jalen Rose and Chris Webber. They fell out several years ago and it was heightened during the ESPN Fab Five documentary that Webber did not participate in. Webber is now doing media to promote the movie Uncle Drew, which is a co-stars, and of course, the Fab Five comes up in every interview. On “Sway in the Morning,” Webber said he has no relationship with Jalen and accused Jalen of using him to enhance his career. Jalen fired back on his ESPN show “Get Up” and it’s the first time I really think Jalen was mad. The whole thing is sad but as someone who is learning how to deal with challenging relationship, maybe it’s best to let go and let God. S/O to my bro Mike Muse (Sway in the Morning) for the amazing question bro. I see you.

Finally, some upcoming live events: Tonight Gritty City is taking over Pik Nik (2301 W. Main Street) for a 10 PM show.  Music by Elliot Ness – performances by PT, Fan Ran, BC Music First, Reppa Ton, Rah Scrilla, Johnny Ciggs, and Squeeks. Hosted by me, Been Official.
