Brewer’s Cafe is much more than coffee. The small business, own and operated by Ajay Brewer, has become a true cultural hub on Richmond’s southside. Brewer’s is a great example of Black excellence and the changing landscape of Richmond. I ran across their amazing collaboration with Dream for Purpose, another standard of creative Black excellent. Dream for Purpose is owned and operated by VUU alum Ricky Parker. When I saw the Black is Beautiful cold-pressed spot on Facebook, I knew I had to share. The ad promotes a limited-time-only cold-pressed juice: activated charcoal, watermelon, ginger, lemon.
