BLACK SPACES MATTER: A QUICK STOP BY THE ‘RESILIENCY GARDEN AT THE ICA’ – OPENING ON 9/12

Richmond Community Activist and Founder of Happily Natural Day Duron Chavis AKA Brother Manifest in collaboration with the ICA at VCU is creating a “Resiliency Garden” as a part of the upcoming exhibition “COMMONWEALTH” debuting September 12, 2020.

I stopped by the ICA to check out the progress, and I just so happened to bump into the homie Duron for a quick chat. The space looks amazing. I’m truly looking forward to seeing exactly how the exhibit is finalized and presented to the community.

The garden consists of 30 raised beds, flowers, and even a mural. It’s super-dope so far. COMMONWEALTH will display through January and then be distributed out to the community. #WESEEIT
