NAOMI OSAKA WINS 2021 AUSTRALIAN OPEN; CAPTURES 4TH GRAND SLAM
Look — We love Naomi Osaka on the Cheats Movement. Yes, our hearts will always be with Serena, especially on her quest for 24. Serena is Jordan, Osaka is Lebron; that’s how I view it.
There would be no Naomi Osaka if not for Serena Williams. With that, Naomi is flat-out brilliant, on and off the court.
Naomi made quick work of American Jennifer Brady (6-4. 6-3) to capture her 4th grand slam. The 23-year-old, 2020 AP Female Athlete of the Year, is on a 21-match winning streak that dates back to last season. Her streak includes a championship at last year’s US Open.
Last year, Naomi overtook Serena on the Forbes list as the highest-paid woman athlete of all-time, after making $37.4 million in a single year. In addition to her on-court excellence, Naomi has spoken out for social equality, wearing masks with the names of victims of police violence at last year’s U.S. Open. She is also quickly become a fashion icon; she recently became a brand ambassador for Louis Vuitton.
Way to go Naomi! #WESEEIT
