“THE FIERCE 44” – A GREAT WAY TO TEACH YOUNG PEOPLE BLACK HISTORY EVERY DAY

Black history should be taught every day, but parents and mentors often don’t know where to start.

Last year, I picked up a copy of The Fierce 44 by the staff of one of my favorite media outlets ESPN’s The Undefeated. My 6-year-old son and I read the book every night until we finished, and we are revisiting the book during Black History Month.

The Fierce 44 is a wonderful introduction to great Black heroes. It’s informative and easy to digest for all ages.
