WATCH: “BLACK SPACE MATTERS” WITH DURON CHAVIS – A NEW SERIES DEDICATED TO FOOD INSECURITY, URBAN FARMING & COMMUNITY

“Black Space Matters” is a new web series hosted by urban farmer Duron Chavis AKA Brother Manifest.

In the five-episode series, Chavis connects with community leaders to discuss food insecurity, urban farming, healing, and overall community well-being at the “Resiliency Garden” located at the Institute for Contemporary Art at VCU.

The first two episodes have been released and feature Rob Jones of Groundwork and Ashley Williams of BareSOUL Yoga. These dialogues are powerful and necessary. They provide insight into ideas, concepts, practices, and lifestyles that a lot of us may not be aware of or pay attention to. Knowledge is always power. Take a few minutes and feed your soul.
